Fare Thee Well, Araceli...
This update starts off with Gisela confronting Consort. I just love aggressive sims. Instead of running and crying, she got up in his face. That'll teach him to come storming into her house and poking at her!
"You feelin' lucky, punk?"
After getting a much needed make-over, Connor was ready for wedlock. Once again... no fancy wedding. They got married in the kitchen. I know, I'm awful, but it's a legacy family! I wanted them to have babies and excell in their careers. There will time for weddings later.
"Mum, you're not supposed to EAT the throwing rice!"
I'm not quite sure how it happened, but Araceli started a fire. How do sims with a maxed cooking skill start fires? Seriously. I have a fire alarm, so it wasn't anything major. It almost sent Araceli into red, however.
Aliens have mastered time, space, and technology... yet they haven't figured out how to stop a common household fire?
Of course, what would a Zamora update be without a spook encounter or two? Reina was trying to paint Gisela's legacy portrait when out popped Valencia, straight from the canvas. She scared poor Reina so bad the elder woman peed herself. Her shriek was so loud it woke Elmer. Those nasty ghosts!
"I'm NOT cleaning that up."
Finally, my collection of reward objects was complete (prior to University, that is). You can see them all jammed in the big room I used as the skill building room. Araceli loved this room, being a Knowledge sim and all.
(trumpet fanfare)
Araceli's time comes and she passes on in platinum. I was so desperate I resorted to the SimVac to make sure she died in a good way. I needed it! I'm so awful with Knowledge sims. It's really sad, everybody seems to love them while they are sort of the bane of my existance. Okay, not that bad, but still.
"What, aliens get to go, too?"
After a day of mourning, everything goes back to normal. In the kitchen, Connor and Gisela flirt shamelessly, much to the dismay of Reina. Apparently she isn't as approving this time around. Maybe it's Connor, or the fact that Gisela is very pregnant.
"You two are enough to kill an old woman!"
All that flirting must have done something, because that night, Gisela went into labor in the livingroom. She gave birth to Lucio. He had green eyes! It was a first for the Zamora clan, not to mention light skin, another first. Of course, he also had brown hair... sigh. Time to search far and wide for an NPC with a different hair color.
Aww, he looks so fragile.
Of course, shortly after poor Connor gets big-time demoted for being a little too ambitious at a golf tournament. He looks pretty pleased, though. Crazy family sims.
"Hey, at least I won!"
It wasn't long after that Lucio entered the world of walking, talking, and potty training. Luckily he had plenty of people to help him through it. His personality was very extreme; a neat freak, extremely shy and lazy as well as overly playful and nice. It's been awhile since there was a shy Zamora...
"Pretty colors!"
Of course, not everyone was celebrating. Poor Gisela was just trying to get some sleep when Novio jumped out at her. She ended up peeing herself. The poor girl.
"I HATE this house!!"
Next time... the mysterious translucent maid.

Hey there! Wow, Gisela looks so frustrated in that last picture! You did a great job with this update...I'm sure legacy families must be hard to post interesting updates on because the same things happens over and over...but you do a really great job of making it interesting!

Your family is the coolest and one of my absolute favorites. Plus your commentary is always highly entertaining. Those ghosts are a pain, but they can be kind of fun sometimes. I like that you want them to be a part of the mysterious Zamora-ness of your family. Very cool. :-)
