A Marriage of Convenience
I'm a little upset. I booted up the game today only to find that the mysterious all-consuming thing had eaten Novio's tombstone. So now not only is there a huge gap between generation 2 and 4 in the graveyard, there's no more resident spook. The game won't be the same without'em. Thank goodness I'll likely finish by tonight or tomorrow. I want to try a different family... it might not be another challenge family, as my experiences thus far have soured me. I'm not a strong as the rest, one little bug and I'm angry/frustrated.
My break between challenges will likely be a story of sorts. I miss doing that (I have two stories on the Exchange from like, November).
Anyway, on with the post!
Starting off with a nice family picture. This generation of sims really enjoyed playing video games together. I thought it was cute, so I took the opportunity and ran with it.

"Go left, go left!" "Aghh, no!" "Yeeeah, who's the girl?!"
It was around this time that Araceli became an adult and I decided I was sick of looking at the horrible layout the current Manor had. So I deleted it all and started anew. There are no full-scale pictures because it really wasn't anything grand. I'm no architect, and I really couldn't do anything extravagent at the time. Basically, it had a large open livingroom/entrance way, a decent sized kitchen, two full bathrooms downstairs including a small bedroom, two full bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs, as well as a very large hall where I kept the career rewards.
Of course, who should pop out that night but Novio. He had to check out the new digs. I'm going to assume that scaring Araceli meant he approved. I never deleted any of the old beds (I still have them, actually). Maybe he was just mad an alien was using his bed.

"Don't you dare delete my bed!"
Of course, a bigger house meant that Jane had more room to conduct her illict affairs. She normally lured her 'victims' into Araceli's room (which had Novio's bed in it), since it was downstairs and less walking. She used this method to get Reina into Private School, and liked the Headmaster so much, she invited him over again.
Too bad Reina had to come thundering in, screaming about her A+.

"Uh, sweetie... I'm a little busy right now..."
Jane wasn't the only one getting her smooch on. Reina also had a little teen romance of her own, with the wild child Mallory Mace. They shared a tenative first kiss by the stairs.

[Kissy noise]
Unfortunately, Reina was so busy staying out late and attending parties that her grades dropped. Big time. She came home with a D and began wailing in the living room. Her parents would not be pleased. She was the legacy heir, she couldn't be setting these sorts of examples!

"Nooooooo, now I'll never get my inheritaaannceee!"
Of course, Reina's homework continued to pile up and she continued to ignore it. By some miracle, she escaped Highschool unscathed. Perhaps it was her family's bank account. Either way, she entered adult hood and immediately shed her bad girl image. No one will say how all that hair magically appeared, but I have a feeling it also has a lot to do with the family bank account...
Her first order of business was to attack Officer Elmer. Sure he had a dopey name, but it's not like his children would inherit it.

Officer down, call for back-up!
He moved in shortly after. It turns out Elmer is a Knowledge sim. I still needed the platinum stone, so I had two shots at it with Araceli and Elmer.
He had an okay personality and skill points. I put him in Law Enforcement because I'm easily amused.

"No, you still can't borrow my handcuffs."
Reina and Elmer didn't get married right away. I'm not entirely sure why, I think I wanted them to have a 'normal' wedding that was so rare with legacy households. Too bad they never got that wedding party.
I noticed something odd when they slept. They never cuddled. Ever. It was very strange. I've never run across this before. Could it be because Reina expressed interest in the same sex as a teenager? Her parents had wants for her to get "Joined" not married (D'oh).
I guess that would make a fitting storyline where she had to marry and continue the legacy with a man she 'loved' but not that way. These Zamora's... they just can't have a normal marriage!

SimDictator is not feeling the love. :(
Yet another family shot around the game console. I just love these shots, they all have funny expressions on their faces. They do this by themselves, too, which just makes it all the more novel. Too bad Araceli didn't take off her thinking cap beforehand.

"Darn it, Araceli, I can't see over that blinking green bulb!"
Of course, what Zamora update wuld be complete without a little drama to add into the mix. Reina was waddling out of the kitchen when she saw her mother shamelessly flirting with Zion, the pizza delivery boy. She was not pleased. I'm not entirely sure whether or not this is because Jane is cheating on Dionisio, or the departed Novio... since Reina never seemed to care about Dionisio and Jane's marriage.
Unfortunately... Dionisio was also in the same room. Double d'oh! It was a messy situation.

"Uh, Zion... you might want to turn around..."
As if that weren't enough, it happened again... on the same day! Dionisio was raging mad this time, slapping both of them silly. I'm surprised he didn't attack either of them, though I think he had too high a nice score for that. He wasn't even in love with Jane anymore. I could have had them break up, but I wanted Jane's platinum Romance tombstone.
They slept in different beds for a few nights while rebuilding their relationship. I also made sure Jane conducted her little sessions AWAY from Dionisio.

"You lousy tramp!"
Reina was only hours from giving birth, so I had her and Elmer get married in the middle of the hallway. It was without ceremony, not to mention Reina was in her PJ's. To think, the future Mayor of Rio Hermoso getting married in her pink maternity PJ's...

Next time... enter Gisela, exit Dionisio and Jane.

Wonderful update. Love the picture of Reina and Elmer on the couch.. "Officer down, call for back-up!" Lol! Very funny.
And odd about them never cuddling in bed either. I've never seen that either.
And.. gah! So many nice pictures!.. Dionisio looks really handsome in that picture where he's all ticked off at Jane. I don't know why... it just struck me that way.
Anyhow.. wonderful update! Can't wait for more!
