Marriage, Death, and Moving On.

It wasn't long until Novio grew into an adult. I was a little surprised. He grew into his nose and turned out to be rather attractive--for a sim, that is. Normally NPC DNA results in some... well... non-asthetically appealing sims. It was a pleasant surprise, however... and maybe, just maybe it would help him out on his quest to woo Celeste the mail carrier.

Speaking of which, Novio was having a little trouble in that department. I found it rather fitting. He'd spent his entire child and teen life maximizing creativity, painting masterpieces, working, and well, basically doing anything that somehow ended in a paycheck. So its only right that he would have zero skills with the ladies.

Once he kissed Celeste for the first time, however... the awkwardness quickly dissipated. I began to think that maybe the die messed up and that he was really meant to be a Romance sim!

"How YOU doin'?"

Unfortunately, Novio moves a little to fast and proposes. Celeste promptly refuses. As if the humiliation of rejection isn't enough, Novio's father Steven, was witness to the entire thing. Poor Novio looks so crushed.

"I gave up marriage for lent. Sorry!"

Of course, women are fickle creatures... so Novio tries again the next day. She accepts and they have a nice little backyard wedding.

Celeste's personality... was interesting. She was extremely neat and nice, and very very low in all others. I hoped that Novio's extreme personality would overwrite hers, and I believe it did. As a Popularity sim, she wanted to go into the culinary career. She had full cooking (and mechnical), so I indulged her. She'd have to work on her creativity quite a bit, though.

All together now... "Awwwwwwww!"

Unfortunately, I had a picture lapse or something... so let me briefly catch up to this next picture. I mostly had Novio and Celeste working on their skills. Novio was, of course, in the business track and very close to topping out on that career. Celeste was having difficulty with her creativity, so I had Valencia chip in and teach her the criminal art of lying.

It took an INSANE amount of tries for Celeste to get pregnant. Honestly, it was ridiculous. I refused to give up, and soon she was pregnant. I can't remember how her pregnancy went, as I said, lapse of pictures (and as such, lapse of notes). In the end, however, little Dionisio was born. He was the first in the family to have black hair, yay!

"Fine. Here you go, an heir. Now leave me alone!"

Dionisio's baby days pass by without incident and he soon becomes an odd looking toddler. With a total of 35 personality points, his personality was aces. He turned out very serious, neat, nice, outgoing... I was kind of hoping for a girl, but I prefer to only have one child at a time. Its MUCH easier to focus on their skill building, etc for the right career (ie, the next career object I need). Sure, this makes me a putz, but oh well! I'm lazy and I didn't want to make the house bigger.

"Watch it kid, no drooling on the threads."

Sometime later, I got a surprise visit from good old Grimmy. He was coming for Valencia, despite the fact her life bar wasn't filled. She went in a bad way... I thought I had more time. I'm sorry Val!

Thankfully, everyone's aspiration meters were high enough that no shrink visits were warranted. Without Valencia around to boss him around, Steve decided it was time to live it up. He invited his good buddy from work over and they had a steamy make out session. They fell in love.

"What do you MEAN my time is up!? I want to talk to your supervisor!"

After this unfortunate incident, Dionisio grew into a child. He was an okay looking kid... in fact... he really looked quite a bit like Novio did. Different nose, though. Novio, who witnessed the blessed event, smirked proudly.

"Like father, like son."

Celeste returned from work that night, greeted by her much larger son. She actually jumped up in the air in shock. I wasn't fast enough to capture that, so instead you just get to see them sharing a look. Oh, and you can also see the very cluttered front yard of Zamora Manor. Yeah, I wasn't much on decorating... and I had the habit of throwing aspiration objects and things that didn't fit in the house out on the yard.

Poor Dionisio didn't have very attentive parents.

"Hey kid, off the la-... Oh, sorry Dionisio."

The next day, something very amusing happened. Steve had his little girlfriend stay the night, so she was able to use the family facilities as she pleased. In the morning, its a rush for the bathroom. I normally let those who are most desperate go first. Well, since I can't control Steve's girlfriend, she was quick like a bunny to hog one of the bathrooms.

Novio was having none of that. In the morning, that bathroom was HIS bathroom. No second rate tramp was taking that away. So, being his ridiculously outgoing self, he waltzed right in the bathroom, shucked off his clothes, and hopped in the shower. All the while, Steve's chickadee is taking a pee. She doesn't seem too shocked, actually.

"Hey, you think you can hand me that extra bottle of shampoo? Thanks."

Once again, I was planning ahead. I was looking for the right girl to pair up with Dionisio. I had Celeste phone the local pizza place one night, and who should appear but the cute little delivery girl Jane. More importantly, she had blonde hair. I really wanted a blonde heir.

Dionisio seemed happy with his wife-to-be, even as a child.

"You don't know it yet, but you're going to fall madly in love with me!"

Meanwhile, in the living room, Novio and Celeste attempted to be friendly to Steve's bed buddy. It was an awkward moment, to say the least. Especially with Steve's former wife and mother-in-law's portraits staring down at them!

[insert crickets chirping here]

Another family dinner shot. I was just so happy to have a Zamora who could make Lobster Thermidor! Too bad the headmaster was still bugged.

It sort of looks like Dionisio just did something bad and Novio is scolding him. Poor Dionisio. No wonder he became such a messed up adult...

Novio gives Dionisio the evil eyes.

Next time... Dionisio grows up, Steve exits stage left, and the ghosts finally make themselves known.
