Merry Christmas

Um, wow. To say its 'been awhile' would be, well, inappropriate... as its been a LONG while.

To sum it up; I started college, my computer went up in blue smoke, I got a new PC made specifically to run the sims 2 on max everything... but I also lost everything prior. Which, well, sucks. But I DID finish that Legacy... so that's all that matters. The Zamora house eventually became a vampire HQ. It was awesome. I will miss Reyes the Grand Vampire and his little vampire fledglings! (<3 Nightlife, btw)

I've been keeping up with blogs, but have reverted back to lurking instead of commenting. I'm weird like that. I'm a blog lurking ADDICT!

Bored with the legacy thing, I'm dabbling in the Prosperity side of things. I'm using the rules, but I'm not taking points. Its just a fun new way to play. If you happen upon this and are curious, check out Proudmoore Valley (I may have quit World of Warcraft, but its after-effects remain!). Comments are disabled because I'm doing this to amuse myself and friends, but feel free to take a look.

Hope everyone has an awesome holiday. :) And keep up with the blogging, because they're all awesome and help me get through long days of classes!

Gone but Not Forgotten

Unfortunately for Isidora, her misery didn't end with Kevin's death. She went to care for Reyes only to be spooked by Novio's ghost. Meanwhile, Reyes reflected on his father's death. Well, at least that's what it looks like. Can toddlers reflect?

"Life... death... what does it all mean?"

There was a good side to all this tragedy; Isidora was now husbandless... which meant she could now be true to her Romance sim ways. She wasted no time getting to work on old flames.

Fortunately for poor little Reyes, he had Catalina to care for him. Who needed a father when you had two hot mommas to raise you?

"Weeee!"

With the help of Lucio, Reyes matured into quite the cute kid. Catalina and Lucio continued to take over much of his care. Isidora was too busy adding notches to her bedpost. She wasn't as absent as Kevin, but she wasn't as devoted as Lucio, either.

As you can see in the photo below, I got the camera reward from Isidora's career. Woohoo!

"Rawr!"

Zamora Manor was rather full with everyone still living and all, and as such poor Reyes really didn't have a permanent bedding situation. At times when his mother didn't have visitors, he stayed with her.

On one particular night, Kevin decided to scare his poor son. As if the kid hadn't seen enough tragedy!

"Moo! Ahahahaha"

Reyes took to sleeping in his grandparent's room after that. Lucio was often up in the early AM and Renee worked night shifts. On their days off, Reyes would stay with Catalina. It was pretty much a game of musical beds all throughout his stay at the Manor.

Awww!

Eventually, though, Lucio's time was up and ole' Grimmy came a'calling. It seemed a little early. The age bar must be broke or something. Either way, he achieved his lifetime want and gave me another platinum headstone, hurray!

On the other hand the family spent days sobbing about him. Not-so-hurray!

((insert anguished wailing here))

As it goes with legacy families, Reyes had a birthday sometime after Lucio's death. He became an interesting looking teen. For one, he was the first male to NOT have that prominent Zamora nose... and two, I didn't give him sideburns.

I gave him a 'stache and some glasses because I plan to have him run the paranormal track. He looks like a budding psychologist as opposed to a psychic network friend. Oh well.

I rolled a six and chose fortune because he always wants a repairman and I haven't had one for awhile. His lifetime want is to make 100,000 simoleans. I say it here because I plan to fulfill it. (though you probably won't see that on this)

Thus... the great easel invasion begins!

I love that stupid camera!

A few days later Renee felt an odd pain. Before she could cry out, she collapsed on the bathroom floor.

"Lucio, I'm coming!"

Fortunately for Renee, Isidora was within range and was dispatched to save her poor mother. Renee still had some time left in her!

"Please don't take my mum! Who else will cook for us?!"

Thankfully for them, Grimmy was really getting sick of dealing with the dead Zamora's. He let Renee live and made haste out of that crazy place.

"I need a vacation..."

Poor old Grimmy, he had to take her anyway a few days after the incident. I wonder if he's getting sick of all the luau's yet?

"Yeah, yeah... get a move on, I'm on a schedule you know."

Moooo-ving Along

Using her Romance wiles, Isidora had no trouble tricking her former lover Kevin into moving in and becoming her fiancée. Time was of the essence, and she really didn't have much to pick from. Sure, he had a horrid personality... but at least he wasn't disfigured!

"You're NOT wearing that to the wedding."

Catalina welcomed Kevin into the family by kicking his butt mercilessly at SSX. How long has it been since there's been a gaming photo? Probably awhile. I just love their expressions!

"Oh yeah! In YOUR FACE!"

Despite the serious blow to his ego, Kevin remained at the Manor long enough for them to wed. Now all Isidora had to do was get pregnant. Once she had an heir, she’d be secure in the Zamora fortune. Being a Romance sim wasn't so hard after all...

The first actual Zamora wedding in GENERATIONS!

Unfortunately, the two couldn’t quite make it to the upstairs master bedroom… so they opted for the hot tub. Much to poor, poor Renee’s chagrin. I'm not so sure the neighbors with telescopes agreed with her, though.

"Get a room..."

Later that evening, Valencia pops in and decides to scold Renee for being such an uptight prude! Valencia always was one of the 'cooler' Zamora's.

"Get a room, bahahahaha!"

I’m not entirely sure what’s up with the Zamora men and getting fired. Sure, it could be my fault for being a dummy and constantly risking it with the choice cards, but c’mon! Oh well, at least Lucio looks happy. I mean… he’s loaded anyway, so it really doesn’t matter in the end, right?

"Freeeedooommm!"

Figuring he’s got the time now, Lucio throws a Golden Anniversary party. Lucio and Renee celebrate their union, and the first lifetime want achieved in the Zamora household! Yaaay!

"I feel... oddly fulfilled all of the sudden..."

Amidst all the hustle and bustle, Isidora becomes pregnant with the 9th generation, Novio scares the crap out of everyone some more, and Renee starts a fire... with the microwave. Yes, the microwave. At maxed cooking points. Sigh.

Eventually, Isidora gives birth to a beautiful little boy with green eyes and brown hair. He is named Reyes, after his Great Great Great Grandmother Reina.

"Yes! My ticket to the good life has arrived."

Of course, what's a birth without a spook? Novio decides to welcome Kevin to the family by scaring the crap out of him. It is family tradition, after all. If you're not scared by Novio at some point in your life, you can't be considered a true Zamora!

"Welcome to the family, chump!"

I got really lazy with photos, so I don't have any of Reyes' transition into a toddler. He came out with a wonderful personality, though. That didn't stop me from picking out his next wife, however. The innocent woman who had been tending to the Zamora landscape for generations, Barbara.

"...Uh, can I help you?"

Unfortunately, with the good comes the bad. Along with his horrible personality, Kevin was also a bad cook. He decided to cook while everyone was working or sleeping, and as such... started a fire. The raging inferno consumed him and a few precious appliances in the kitchen. Unfortunately, fire insurance doesn't cover charred corpses.

The only time where the word 'flaming' is used as intended.

Poor Catalina stepped out of her carpool and rushed into the kitchen just in time to phone the fire department. The house was saved, Kevin was not. He did go down in Zamora history as being the first accidental death (not including clone children) in all the generations, though.

While Reyes is old enough to remember, he's too young to care. Everyone else just seems to take it in stride. No one really mourns.

"Risk fire and save brother-in-law, or sit back and pretend I saw nothing? Yeah, tough choice there."

How Times Flies...

...when life is kicking your butt with endless events, and it isn't even through yet! As you can see, I took my hiatus before posting the updates. My sincere apologies. It was out of my hands. Updates will continue to be sporadic, but at least they'll exist, hopefully. I won't be home any weekends, so that makes it difficult...

Oh well, on with the update. It is rather long, as I want to finish off my legacy family and get to the 'good' stuff. There is still another generation to cover before that happens, though.

When last we left the Zamora's... they had an attempted robbery and a missing tombstone. Well, as they say... with loss comes birth. Okay, well, no... they don't... but let's pretend that they do. Work with me here!

Unfortunately, that birth turned out to be... a clone child. Ugh. Bye, bye Elena! I can't believe I wasted a good name on a clone.

This is the last time little Elena was seen.

Of course, what is a birth without a little death added to the mix? Connor passes on in platinum. The age bar lied to me. Again. He was supposed to have a few more days left. Oh well...

"Stop oogling the hula girls and get a move on, gramps."

Araceli decides to comfort her niece by scaring the crap out her not once, but twice. Poor Gisela...

Okay, so I lied. That's Elena in the crib...

I guess Araceli felt bad, because after scaring Gisela witless, the transparent alien climbed the staircase and made Gisela's bed. Awww...

"Secret Alien techology is actually just a manual on how to properly make beds."

Another child is born into the Zamora household. Luckily, Isidora isn't a clone child. Everyone with me now, "hurray!" Unfortunately the photo is missing. Probably lost in the shuffle of altering and uploading... bah.

Anyway, Catalina and Isidora share a birthday. After this photo was taking I changed Catalina's hair again. She turned out better than I had expected. No hugely deformed lips, either, yay!

Isidora's personality was rather similar to Catalina's... except Isidora is rather shy. Catalina rolled the popularity aspiration.

"When can I go to college? I'm sick of all this baby drool!"

Shortly after, Catalina hurried off to college. She was my first sim to experience Univeristy, as well as my first experience with the expansion. It just felt wrong to go through it with a strange sim! Plus, at the time I didn't know whether or not Catalina would return to Zamora Manor. I had grown rather found of her, and didn't want her marrying some random Joe-Schmoe and popping out kids.

"I am way too cool for school."

Poor Gisela passed on and I didn't get a photo. Oh well. She didn't die in Platinum. Isidora became a child... because birthdays and deaths go hand-in-hand! Unfortunately her childhood was boring and as such, no photos.

I was quite surprised when Gisela became a teenager. Not only did she look a bit like Gisela, she also ended up as a Romance sim.

"West side BOOIIZZ, holla!!"

Renee and Lucio followed suit, both becoming elders.

Novio decided it was a good time to scare Isidora. He had her pegged from the beginning, a Romance sim! Poor Isidora's life was soon going to be hell, as Gisela's was... poor Romance sims.

"Don't be hatin'!"

Shortly after, Isidora parts ways with the ghosts and heads off to Sim University to join her sister, Catalina.

"Good riddance!"

Luckily for Isidora, Catalina had made quite a name for herself at the University. Not only was she the 'big woman' on campus, but she was part of the biggest sorority, knew all the professors, and had a legion of faithful students to do her papers for her. All Isidora had to do was sit back and reap the benefits. Art Majors had it easy, after all.

The two girls had a small townhouse just off the main campus.

"Paaaarrtaaay!"

Isidora only got the benefits for a short while, though. Catalina was a sophmore when her younger sister had joined her at college, and soon she was graduating.

"Mum... can't.... breathe!"

Isidora couldn't complain as she said farewell to her sister for now. She was in the sorority, and knew plenty of people. Plus, now she could throw endless parties!

"Try not to sleep with any professors, okay?"

Asking a Romance sim NOT to sleep with their professor is like telling a family sim they can't get married! Before long, Isidora had all her professors at her fingertips.

"Why couldn't it have been this easy in high school?!"

The professors weren't the only ones hit with the 'love machine' that was Isidora Zamora. She even made passes at the mascots! She was especially fond of the 'evil' cow from Highvalley Tech.

((cue Jaws' theme music))

Meanwhile, Catalina had returned home and was well on her way to becoming Sim Nation's next big star. She spent all her time on her career and making friends in high places.

"First Hollywood... next, the world!"

Unfortunately for Isidora, college life is a quick footnote in the long walk that is life. She found herself graduating and being plopped back at the Manor. Not only that, she now had an obligation... marriage and a family. No wonder Catalina passed on the whole legacy thing!

"I hate you, sis."

D'oh!

I've been entirely too busy with life's issues to play The Sims 2 or even think about blogging! How sad is that? I'm almost finished with the Zamora's legacy, so I'll get those up as soon as I can find some time. After that, I'll be taking a small hiatus until I get everything under control... phew!

Just ignore the keep reading link, there's nothing more to this post.
